Bible Lesson 10

Welcome to this week’s Bible lesson. If you have been following these lessons, you know that we have been allowing the Bible to show us, (the truly saved), the wonderful blessings that flow from being recreated “in Christ” at our regeneration or salvation

We have found some 40 great blessings (and these are just a few) that are guaranteed by the word of God, among them we found that we are now “new creatures, God’s handiwork”, our old man is dead, God has given to us all that we need to live and be Godly, as we live.

Christ lives in us and we live in him, we are free from the law of sin and death, we are more than conquerors through Christ, we will never come under condemnation, we can never be separated from the love of God, we have an eternal home in heaven, and on and on. I hope you downloaded the list but if you didn’t, I will be glad to send you a copy if you want to go to the site and click on contact us and send me an e-mail requesting a copy at no cost to you.

We are attempting to turn the focus of believers from the trivial to the triumphant, from the power of our flesh to the almighty power of God, from worldliness to life-style witness, from church-growth to individual Christian growth.

It is past time that we saw that man cannot grow a church. Men “can” grow large groups that are simply social groups; but Christ said that “he’ would build “his” church. (Matthew 16:18)

Think about this??normally, when a person joins some church, he begins his “Christian” journey, having been taught that he cannot live the way the Bible says that a Christian should live. That is the reason that there are so many shipwrecks along the road to heaven.

People do not really believe that salvation makes that great of a difference; and dear brothers and sisters, if you don’t believe you can, you probably won’t. We forget that God does not save people and leave them beside the road to fend for him or herself. No!

God places his divine nature (the holy spirit) in the saved person and God then works in them to cause them to want to obey and to be able to obey. (Philippians 2:13). The true Christian can and will walk a radically different path; and he does it by the power given him “in Christ” (Philippians 4:13).

How in the world can any person who has honestly read the Bible in it’s context and who truly believes the Bible to be the inspired word of god, believe that god would send his only begotten son to die on a cross to redeem people from their sin; and then not care if that person or those people continued in sin?

God does meet us all as sinners; however those who are saved are no longer sinners but saints. (Ephesians 1:1; Romans 1:7; 1st cur. 1:2; Ephesians 2:19; Philippians 1:1; Colossians 1:2; 2nd thess.1:10)

It is not my mission to define the church any further than god has already defined it. It is my job to preach the truth as god illuminates his word for me and to present it to everyone who hears or reads the truth. I will say that, if what we see today in so many visible churches is true Christianity, then as my father used to say, “the woods are full of Christians”.

God will judge us all as individuals, he will not judge or consider denominations, or creeds or churches; instead god will judge each of us on what we have done with his truth and his son Jesus Christ.

Make it your desire and your goal to conform to what the Bible has to say; and begin to study and pray about, and live according to the word of God.

Until next time,

may God bless and keep you
