Bible Lesson 241

The blessing of discernment. (1st John 4:1)

“BELOVED, DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYSPIRIT, BUT TEST THE SPIRITS, WHETHER THEY ARE OF God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

“It is obvious that so many church members in our society have used Matthew 7:1 to dodge, the work of evangelism. And if you want to get an argument from them just mention that we are to be judges of others. That is convent for those who are too lazy or uninformed in the truth, but that dog will not hunt.” Brobob

It is time that we as Christians, took hold and really desired to obey our Savior and make sure that we want to follow in the footsteps of the One who took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved and suffered, bled, and died on that cross that we deserved to redeem us from Satan, hell and sin.
We cannot do that unless and until we have entered through that strait gate and are walking that narrow way that leads to heaven.

You will never be able to do that until you become interested enough in your eternal life, to stop playing church and began to study, pray and strive to know the Word of God, the Bible. (Romans 10:17).

Remember now, we are saved by Grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), and so we must seek God’s Only begotten Son by study of the Bible.

We read that the Truth will set us free, and that means free from the bondage of sin, and we find truth in the Word of God.

So, we have to come out of the cycle of believing anything or everything we hear from our pulpits because Christ warns us over and over about false prophets. Think about that.

Until next time,

may God bless and keep you
