Bible Lesson 263

Why do you call Me “Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say”?

This is a question that we should ask ourselves every day that God allows us to live in His world. What is it that makes us think that we have earned the right to occupy the space that we take up every day we live? God asked that question for all who breath His air and walk upon His ground.

So, do you have an answer? Probably not! If you wonder why, I ask that, it is because I don’t find an answer for myself. God is gracious and God is good, but there must be an end, even to God’s grace. There is an end to God’s grace; however, it ends as Gods Love for His creatures. None of us will ever be good enough to earn His Love and it accrues to us as undeserved mercy.

God is able to do all things, including forgive and forget sin that is repented of. That assures the creatures of God to always be able to ask for forgiveness and receive it without question.

With all the wonderful privileges that God has allowed us, why do you suppose that we have devolved into the weak and sinful creatures that we are right now?

We who claim to be born again Christians have a high standard of life to maintain; and it does not appear that we have managed that. Perhaps we have forgotten that we serve the God who created all things and manages them daily.

Think about this; we who claim to be His Children, have decided to live in many cases like the children of the devil. We either are, or we are not, His Children and if we are, we will manifest that by the way we live.

So, you can know right now if you are God child. Just ask yourself if you are acting like a child of God?

What did you discover? Are you living like His Child and obedient to His commands? If you are, you are on the right track, otherwise you need to correct your course.

If you are not obeying God, you are a sinner, and all sinners will end-up in the fires of hell. Be very sure your anchor holds.

Until next time,

may God bless and keep you
